Fraise Mow
You are here
Fraise mowing removes more thatch than scarification and hollow coring, and also removes all contaminants, such as weeds, algae and silt.
Fraise mowing removes all unwanted grasses, such as shallow rooting meadow grasses, while retaining deeper rooting perennial rye grasses. Removing more thatch than scarification and hollow coring, fraise mowing also removes all contaminants such as weeds, algae and silt. Surface irregularities are removed leaving a smooth playing surface with less water retaining areas.
Our Fraise Mowing service is carried out using a Koro Field Top Maker, which was originally designed for use in areas where pesticides are banned and the only option to clean natural turf playing surfaces is to completely strip the organic matter and re-seed.
The new surface is cultivated, graded and ameliorated with sand or Rootzone. The pitch is overseeded with a Turfmaker seeder and pre-seeding fertiliser is applied.
