Top Dressing

Top dressing helps to break down the thatched (organic matter) layer, remove surface irregularities and improve irrigation.
As part of our top dressing services we analyse the pH and soil structure of the area to determine the optimum dressing that is compatible with the existing root-zone. Silica sands, soil/sand blends or sand compost mixes are then applied to the surface using Dakota spreaders, or a Raycam Speed Dresser after which the dressing is incorporated into the turf with Koro harrows and drag mat.
